Romy ist ein kleiner Dickkopf. Die Stute macht dem Ponyklischee alle ehre, denn wenn sie was nicht will, dann will sie es nicht. Auch lässt Romy kaum einen Grashalm links liegen was beim Ausreiten oder spazieren gehen den Menschen schon mal auf eine Geduldsprobe stellt. Auch konsequente Reiter haben es bei Romy nicht leicht. Was bei anderen Pferden funktionieren mag, scheitert an dem Charakter der Haflingerstute. Aber Romy hat auch gute Seiten. Die Stute liebt Kinder und ist bei ihnen plötzlich ganz anders. Dann wird aus dem ansonsten sturen Pony ein feines Kinderpony. Brav zieht sie mit den Kleinsten ihre Runden über den Reitplatz. Nur beim Thema Futter kennt Romy auch hier kein pardon. Wenn man Romys Marotten aber akzeptiert, hat man mit der Stute viel Freude.
