Genealogy
Links: 0 Generations (gerade)
?
Generations indicate the number of fully linked generations. If only individual ancestors beyond that are linked, the lineage is considered uneven. (Example: only one parent linked = 0 generations (uneven))
Line Index: 37
?
The lineage index (LI) indicates how rare a lineage is. Each horse starts with a base value that increases with every ancestor. Common ancestors and a large number of descendants reduce the value. A high index represents a well-linked horse with a rare lineage, while a low index indicates established, widely used lines. The value is recalculated nightly and is relative to the overall population, so it may change regularly.

More information
Heerschilde was bought from her breeder, Jana Bauer, after we saw her at a national competition for 6-year-olds. Heerschilde, known as 'Berry' in our stable, caught our eye with her careful movement, as if she was placing all her steps in carefully planned places. You could also see from the corner of her eye, that the bay mare enjoyed showing off her skills in front of an audience.
After finishing the rest of the youngster cup competitions, Berry moved to Ahlershof.
Even though Berry is very at home in front of an audience, she is a bit scared of loud noises from speakers, and gets anxious in prize givings, especially in bigger arenas, where everything is narrated via speakers. During the test itself Berry can find relaxation and is able to excel with her rider. Berry is basically very supple and soft to ride. She doesn't need big aids and sometimes she feels like she is working telepathically. The biggest effect comes from the rider's seat, which means that Berry needs a rider with stable seat and a stable hand, so that she doesn't get nervous in the mouth.
Heerschilde is easy to handle from the ground. She loves the company of familiar people, and always comes running with neighing involved when she spots her people coming to get her from the paddock. Berry can be a bit too intensive with her proximity sometimes - she is known to want cuddles so much she ends up stepping on people's feet when she is trying to get closer. Berry loves all forms of attention and is very involved in her grooming. She likes it best when she can stand in the grooming stall without being tied up, so she can closely watch her groomer.
