Sahel hat sich zu einem in sich ruhenden und an der Welt interessiertem schicken Rapphengst gemausert.
Der vollblütige Hengst hat durchaus Temprament , dieses lässt sich aber sehr gut und fein regulieren. Er brauch dafür aber einen feinfühligen Reiter, denn der Vollblutaraber inst rassentypisch ein sensibles Pferd.
Sahel mag die Geschwindigkeit und möchte sich gerne und viel bewegen. Tagelanges rumstehen ist für ihn die Hölle er will beschäftigt und gefordert werden.
Stets ist der Rapphengst hellwach und bekommt alles um sich herum mit. Im Springparcours fühlt er sich zuhause. Er ist extrem wendig und kann Spünge sehr gut taxieren. Dabei ist es egal ob es Geländesprünge oder Parcoursprünge sind. Noch mehr Freude hat er eindeutig im Geländespringen , wenn er zwischen den Sprüngen odrentlich Tempo machen kann . Seine absolute Trittsicherheit und Coolness kommt ihm dabei zugute.
Im Dressurviereck ist es manchmal schwer sein Temprament in den langsamen Gangarten zu zügeln, dies kann gut gelingen wenn man ihn sehr aufmerksam hält und gut beschäftigt, seine große Leidenschaft wird aber das Dressurreiten bei ihm sicher eher nicht.
