Wenn der Name Leobra fällt, denkt jeder unserer Pfleger sofort an die kleine, zierliche, quirlige Ponystute mit der hübschen Chestnut Tobiano Scheckung. Gewiss ist sie nicht die sanfteste und frommste Stute, die wir kennen. Manchmal spielt sie richtig verrückt und wird zickig. Allerdings zeigt sie sich so nur, wenn sie absolut keine Aufmerksamkeit erhält oder andere bevorzugt werden.
Unter dem Sattel zeigt sie sich ebenfalls von einer temperamentvollen Seite, die man der zierlichen Leobra kaum zutraut. Sie steht an feinen Hilfen und wenn man einmal zu sehr auf sie einwirkt, wird das Reiten zum Desaster und man kann sie kaum noch händeln. Dennoch verfügt die deutsche Reitponystute über das gewisse Go, um im Ponysport in L-Klassen starten zu können. Dieses betrifft die Sparten Dressur und Springen.
