Amber ist im Umgang eine sehr friedliche Stute. Sie wird gerne stundenlang geputzt und betüddelt, wenn sie dabei dann noch andere Pferde trifft und das Geschehen am Hof beobachten kann, it sie grundsätzlich super drauf.
In der Herde ist sie ein sehr sozialies Stütchen, sie betüddelt gerne die anderen Damen und ihre Fohlen und wird auch gerne betüddelt, sodass sie eigentlich nur mit den Pferden nicht auskommt, die sie nicht leiden können.
Untem Sattel hat sie bislang eher freizeitlichen Einsetz gefunden, denn sie trägt ihre Reiter sicher durch viele Situationen. Sie gilt als Verlasspferd für Kinder, lässt sich aber gerne mal Zeit in der Bewegung und ist, solange nicht groß was gefordert wird, lieber gemütlich unterwegs.
Fordert man Aufmerksamkeit und Tempo, braucht man dafür zwar Durchsetzungevermögen, aber irgendwann kommt man da auch an und dann arbeitet sie auch ganz fleißig mit. Am liebsten ist Amber unter freiem Himmel unterwegs auf Ausritten, bei denen man sie mit vielen kleinen Aufgaben auch mal aus dem normalen Trott raus holt.
