Mara ist eine kleine anhänglichge Shettystute. Sie hatte in ihrem Leben bis jetzt kaum etwas kennengelernt, sie wurde nachdem sie von ihrer Mutter getrennt wurde zu Rindern auf eine Weide gestellt und lief dort einfach mit. Sie ist unendlich dankbar wenn man sich um sie kümmert, und liebt es endlos lange geschmust und geputzt zu werden. Ausser das Halfter und dem Hufe geben kannte sie gar nichts, und auch anderen Pferden gegenüber war sie sehr skeptisch und scheu. Sie hat wenig zu melden und versucht in der Herde den anderen Pferden aus dem Weg zu gehen.
Gwen hatte Mitleid mit der kleinen Maus und nahm sie aus ihrem Urlaub einfach mit. Mara geniesst es nun unter Pferden zu wohnen auch wenn sie diese immer noch skeptisch beobachtet. Sicher ist sie sehr gelehrig, aber man musste bei ihr an der Basis anfangen und sie langsam fördern. Am liebsten läuft sie zweispännig weil ihr das andere Pferd Sicherheit gibt.
