Abrafax kommt direkt von der Rennbahn, auf der er einige Jahre mal mehr und mal weniger erfolgreich kleine Rennen bestritt. Er ist ein typisches Rennpferd: Kennt zwar die Stallroutine aus dem FF, aber alles darüber hinaus ist Neuland für ihn. Gelände? Was ist das? Dressurarbeit? Stellen? Biegen?
Der braune Wallach ist zwar vollbluttypisch schnell auf 180 zu bringen, ist sonst aber eher ein ruhiger Vertreter seines Schlags. Er kuschelt gerne, sagt zum Stirnkraulen nicht Nein und genießt auch mal längere Putzeinheiten, die es im Rennstall eher nicht gab. Er versucht es seinem Reiter/Pfleger immer recht zu machen, bietet viel an und ist sehr aufnahmefähig.
