Ashanty ist zwar eigentlich ein eher ruhiger Hengst, aber dennoch nichts für Anfänger. Gerade wenn man ihn längere Zeit nicht geritten oder anderweitig bewegt hat kann man ihn nicht mehr halten da er dann voller überschüssiger Energie ist. Für die Dressur eignet er sich nicht so gut, dafür ist er im Springen um so besser. Da er noch keine Körung oder ähnliches gemacht hat ist der Hengst noch nicht zur Zucht geeignet, auch wenn er vermütlich tolle Nachkommen hätte. Ashanty liebt es wenn man mit ihm einfach mal einen Ausritt unternimmt, aber auch Turniere liebt der Hengst total. Er ist verträglich mit anderen Hengsten, aber wenn eine Stute rossig ist muss man sich ziemlich anstrengen um den Hengst unter Kontrolle zu halten.
