Lanzelot ist ein selbstbewußter imposanter Schwarzwälder Fuchs Hengst. Er ist keines der langsamen und ruhigen Kaltblüter, nein Lanzelot mag Aktion und er ist sehr lauffreudig. Unterm Sattel kann er sich sehr gut präsentieren, er hat schwungvolle und raumgreifende Gänge. Er läuft energisch vorwärts und hat eine sehr gut schiebende Hinterhand,, so dass es ihm leicht fällt sich im Dressurviereck zu präsentieren. Lanzelot braucht aber einen selbstsicheren Reiter, welche ihm auch mal Grenzen setzt wenn er mal wieder schneller als sein Reiter möchte. Ängstliche Reiter fühlen sich durch sein großes Selbstbewußtsein oft verunsichert, denn wenn er keine Fpührung bekommt macht er eben was er möchte. Dabei ist er eigentlich recht gut händelbar wenn man ihn in Schranken weißt und arbeitet auch gerne mit.
Lanzelot ist im Gelände unerschrocken und sehr ausdauernd. Er ist gerne mit anderen Pferden unterwegs , geht aber auch alleine raus. Er hat schon erste Wanderritterfahrung und ist dabei total unkompliziert und immer motiviert. Auch wenn er gerne flott unterwegs ist, der Sinn des Springens erschließt sich ihm nicht ganz so, ab und an einen kleine Hüpfer findet er ok und macht ihm auch Spaß , aber ein geborenes Springpferd sieht einfach anders aus. Seine Stärken liegen im Dressursport, da wirkt das Kaltblut sehr elegant und er hat Spaß dabei.
Im Umgang ist Lanzelot auch gerne mal etwas rüpelig, er meint es nicht böse ist aber nicht der Kuschel sondern eher der Kumpeltyp der einem auch mal einen unsanften Stups mit seinem Kopf gibt.
