Calypso Bay kam in Kanada zur Welt. Im Alter von 3 Jahren kam sie zu uns. Die Ankunft verlief problemlos, wobei die schicke Braune etwas Zeit zum aklimatisieren brauchte. Sie lebte sich schnell ein und trabte schon bald in schönster Manier stolz über die Weide. Calypso Bay ist eine wahre Schönheit. Das feine Exterieur und der hübsche Kopf kommen von ihrer Mutter, das dunklere Braun von ihrem Vater. Auch charakterlich kommt Calypso Bay nach ihrer Mutter: temperamentvoll und mit einem scharfen Verstand ausgestattet. Sie macht es ihrem Reiter nicht immer leicht, braucht er doch einiges an Durchsetzungsvermögen bevor er den Zuspruch der Stute bekommt. Dafür entschädigt sie ihn mit tollen Reitpferdequalitäten. Großvater Briar machte sich auf internationaler Bühne einen Namen und konnte sich auch als Vererber etablieren. Sein Sohn Akzent II, der Vater von Calypso Bay, schickt sich an es seinem Vater gleich zu tun. So konnte er sich im April 2011 den Titel als “National Champion” der ASDA auf Prix St. Georges-Niveau sichern. Im Juni 2010 war er “Stallion of the Month” eines internationalen Forums. Mutter Nalani ergänzt die schwedische Blutführung mit dem rar gewordenen R-Blut in Kombination mit bestem L- und C-Blut aus Holstein. Daher ist Calypso Bay eine wichtige Bewahrerin holsteiner Blutlinien und eine Wegbereiterin in die moderne, internationale Zucht.
