Mit Tell hat man einen dieser seltenen Vollbluthengste, bei denen man einfach weiß: Das funktioniert. Er ist ein sympathischer, verlässlicher Athlet, der auf der Rennbahn genau das gezeigt hat, was man sich von einem soliden Rennpferd wünscht – Konstanz, Ehrgeiz und Nervenstärke.

Aus 15 Starts ist Tell nie außerhalb der Platzierung gelaufen – eine Quote, die für sich spricht. Er ist kein typischer Alles-oder-nichts-Renner, sondern ein Pferd, das konstant Leistung bringt und sich immer wieder zuverlässig zeigt. Auch wenn aus ihm kein klassischer G1-Star geworden ist, konnte er sich dennoch einen Stern sichern und in diesem Jahr sogar ein G2-Rennen gewinnen. Genau auf diesem Niveau scheint er sich besonders wohlzufühlen: leistungsbereit, motiviert und ohne übermäßigen Druck.

Tell bringt eine sehr angenehme Arbeitseinstellung mit. Er gibt in der Regel sein Bestes, auch wenn – wie bei jedem Athleten – nicht jeder Tag perfekt ist. Sein Kampfgeist ist ehrlich und gut nutzbar, ohne überzogen oder schwer zu kontrollieren zu sein. Bodentechnisch zeigt er sich äußerst unkompliziert: Gras, Sand oder auch weniger klassische Untergründe machen ihm wenig aus – Tell läuft, wo man ihn hinstellt.
