Backstage entwickelte sich zu einem sportlichen und energievollen Holsteinerhengst. Backstage ist tempramentvoll und kann Langeweile nicht sonderlich Leiden. Er möchte gefordert werden und testet schon mal seine Grenzen aus.
Im Umgang ist der Scheckhengst sehr selbstbewußt und manchmal auch ungeduldig. Er ist unabhängig und ein kleiner Freigeist. Am liebsten mag es Backstage wenn es ins Gelände geht und er sich richtig austoben kann. Er ist unglaublich lauffreudig und im Galopp hängt ihn so schnell keiner ab. Aber auch im Springparcours ist der aktive Scheckhengst zuhause.Er taxiert die Sprünge gut an und ist unglaublich wendig im Parcours. Allerdings wenn er zu schnell wird kann es passieren dass schon mal eine Stange fällt und so muß auch der Reiter stets aufmerksam reiten und nicht dem Hengst alleine die Kontrolle überlassen.
Im Dressurviereck langweilt sich Backstage auch gerne mal, er braucht von seinem Reiter da ständig neue Aufgaben, und immer die gleiche Übung wiederholen findet er äußerst ätzend und wird dann auch richtig unwillig und blockiert. Dabei kann er sich auch dort gut präsentieren , braucht aber eine sehr erfahrene Hand.
