Obwohl Pikadero ein Hengst ist, ist er ein lieber und ausgeglichener Kerl. Zumindest unterm Reiter zeigt er sich stets von seiner besten Seite und versucht gerade die etwas jüngeren und kleineren Reiter heile durch die Bahn zu bringen. Verlangt man allerdings etwas mehr von ihm kommt manchmal sein Ponydickkopf durch und er lässt sich entweder sehr treiben oder aber fetzt los. Er wird dabei nicht fies, aber will er etwas nicht, macht er es nicht. Sein Ponyblick entschädigt allerdings sehr schnell für seine kleinen Macken. Pikadero geht locker eine E Dressur und mit entsprechender Förderung später sicherlich auch mal eine A Dressur. Im Springen fühlt er sich allerdings eher zuhause. Auch hier trägt er die etwas kleineren und unerfahrenen Reiter über die Stangen und auch das ein oder andere Hindernis nimmt er brav mit. Sobald es aber höher hinausgeht zeigt er, was in ihm steckt. Er zeigt nicht nur Freude, sondern auch Ergeiz und Mut am Springen und ist im Parcours hochaufmerksam und zeigt stets sein können. Im Gelände wurde er mal angetestet und präsentierte sich dort auch gut, braucht aber etwas Zeit um die festen Hindernisse nicht als zu gefährlich einzuschätzen. Dem schicken Ponyhengst könnte man einfahren und mit ihm Bodenarbeit machen. Er kennt auch bereits das Kompliment und geht auf ein Podest, sodass man ihn an auch in diesem Bereich etwas fördern und fordern könnte.
