Im Umgang ist er ausgesprochen leicht zu handhaben, er lässt fast alles mit sich machen und fast sehr schnell Vertrauen in den Menschen, weil er außerdem ein typisches Einmannpferd ist, schließt er sowohl mit Artgenossen, als auch mit Lebewesen menschlicher Gattung sehr schnell feste und innige Beziehungen, die das ganze Leben lang anhalten können. Was jetzt fast perfekt klingt, hat allerdings auch eine Schwäche, denn schließlich ist "nobody perfekt". Seine stark ausgeprägt Sensibilität bewirkt auch eine starke Schreckhaftigkeit und Nervosität, die, vor allem im Gelände, schon oft Auslöser für einen unfreiwilligen Abgang seiner Reiter waren.
