La Bonita ist ein recht unabhängiges Pferd. Sie ist nicht sonderlich anhänglich und auch nicht wirklich an menschlicher Gesellschaft interessiert. Sie ist weder scheu noch aggressiv dem Menschen gegenüber, es ist einfach so, dass wir sie schlichtweg nicht groß interessieren. Die Stute lässt sich aber jederzeit gut händeln und zeigt sich im täglichen Umgang brav und folgsam. Langes Putzen und das damit verbundene Stillstehen sind nicht unbedingt ihr Ding, aber sie lässt es über sich ergehen und bleibt gelassen. Anscheinend besitzt La Bonita ein feines Gespür dafür, wenn jemand traurig ist. Dann zeigt sie sich, im Gegensatz zu ihrem normalen Desinteresse, sehr interessiert und einfühlsam.
La Bonita verfügt über ein gewisses Maß an Temperament, das sich jedoch gut beherrschen lässt. Sie arbeitet vorbildlich und aktiv mit und versucht alles, um Fehler zu vermeiden. Sie zeigt einen guten Sinn für Eleganz und präsentiert schwungvolle, taktreine GGA. Allerdings ist sie etwas empfindlich im Maul. La Bonita ist routiniert im Gelände. Sie ist ein wahrer Selbstläufer und gibt ihrem Reiter das Gefühl von Sicherheit. Sie ist absolut scheufest und auch in unbekanntem Gelände jederzeit trittsicher.
La Bonita ist Routinier und stört sich eigentlich nicht an Lärm und Publikum. Sie dreht gelassen ihre Runden und lässt sich den Stress nicht anmerken.
