Kilan ist ein überaus freundlicher Hengst, der mit seiner hübschen Fuchsfarbe, seinen vier weißen Beinen und noch seiner außergewöhnlichen Blesse spielend leicht die Dressurrichter von sich überzeugt. Er ist im Training sowie auf dem Turnierplatz und im Viereck absolut gelassen, dass fast eine Bombe neben ihm hochgehen könnte und er sich dann immer noch prima händeln lässt. Kilan lässt sich seiner Reitering gegenüber sehr schnell fallen und zeigt dann die Begeisterungsfähigeit eines kleinen Jungen, der immer was neues dazulernen möchte. Seine Gelassenheit ist für einen Hengst seiner Klasse eher außergewöhnlich und deswegen wird sie auch so hoch geschätzt. Aber so gelassen und entspannt er auch sonst ist, im Gelände stellt er sich manchmal ziemlich an und da zeigt sich dann auch nochmal, dass Kilan durchaus kein Anfängerpferd ist, denn dort packt er seine Gänge aus und benimmt sich wie ein kleines Kind, dass vor Steinen wegspringt, mal ungelassen losschießt oder Bocksprünge lässt.
Wer hätte gedacht, dass aus Kilan mal so ein Dressurtalent wird, alle seine Halbgeschwister aus Papa Zarnochs Grand Coeur U sind zwar talentiert, aber selten gab es eine Verpaarung mit Silberpfeils Kitty GS, die absolut gelungen ist.
