KHR Matador Pearcy ist Kailua Horse Ranchs erste Eigenzucht von Perfection und wie man sieht, ist sie durchaus gelungen. Pearcy vereint in sich die tolle Abstammung seiner Mutter Melrose Place und die Farbe seines Vaters Perfection. Gangstark kommt er daher, er ist immer gut händelbar aber dennoch ein absolut typischer Hengst. Manchmal kann er nämlich auch ganz schön temperamentvoll sein und von Kindern sollte man ihn fern halten, denn er schnappt schon mal gerne. Der junge Braune braucht eben noch sehr viel Erziehung und sein Reiter muss ihm seine Grenzen aufzeigen können, sonst macht er unter dem Sattel mit einem, was er will. Wenn man eine feste Hand hat, wagt er solche Mätzchen nicht, deshalb dürfen Anfänger erst recht nicht auf seinen Rücken, denn die liegen schneller auf dem Boden als sie aufsteigen können. Irgendwie scheint Pearcy das nämlich zu merken. Hat man ihn aber im Griff, kann er absolut lammfromm sein, so erkennt man ihn dann kaum wieder.
