Gallardo is a very athletic mare. She is not a typical hanoverian, she has lots of energy and even has a tendency to get a little nervous at times. She requires a knowledgable rider to keep her calmed down at times. She is a very sensitive horse as well and therefore will perform at the smallest aid, but does best with a quiet rider. When being ridden properly this mare is wonderful! She is so talented, so athletic, and so tuned into her riders aids you could practically just think about the next movement and she starts doing it. She does much better with daily turnought and the same people handling and rider her every day. She is a bit more of a challenge but worth it. We believe she gets much of her refinement through her dam's sire who was a thoroughbred. She tends to have more of her dam's type than her sires, however clearly got her sire's talents and movement. She was successfully shown through intermediare II and should produce some grand prix prospects with the right stallion. Although she has not been shown over fences she does have a great jump and should produce show jumpers and dressage prospects alike.
