Sahara fühlt sich in ihrer Herde sehr wohl - dort fühlt sie sich sicher. Anfangs war es ein großes Theater, sobald man sie aus der Gruppe herausholte und sich allein mit ihr beschäftigte. Mit viel Geduld und Übung ist dies nun besser geworden und man kann sie auch ohne größere Probleme alleine am Putzplatz anbinden oder alleine mit ihr reiten. Allerdings merkt man, dass sie sich wohler fühlt, wenn sie andere Pferde um sich hat. Sahara hat ein sehr ruhiges Wesen und ist sowohl im Umgang als auch beim Reiten sehr brav trotz ihres noch jungen Alters. Das macht sie auch für kleinere Kinder zu einem idealen Partner, da sie sehr vorsichtig und umsichtig ist. Unterm Sattel muss sie noch etwas Sicherheit und Selbstvertrauen gewinnen. Sie arbeitet gut mit, ist aber bei neuen Dingen immer erstmal etwas vorsichtig und muss langsam an sie gewöhnt werden. Sahara zeigt sehr schöne Grundgangarten. Sie ist sensibel und mit sehr leichten Hilfen zu reiten, was sie zu einem sehr angenehmen Reitbegleiter macht. Sie ist sehr bewegungsfreudig und hat ein gutes Grundtempo. Besonders viel Spaß hat Sahara beim mehrspännigen Fahren, vermutlich da sie sich mit anderen Pferden immer etwas wohler fühlt als allein. Sahara ist ein sehr neugieriges Pony, wenn sie etwas hört oder sieht, möchte sie das immer ganz genau erkunden. Außerdem ist Sahara eine richtige Wasserratte und planscht gerne im Bach oder See.
