Eigentlich ist Summer eine ganz brave Stute, nur ein bisschen schreckhaft und immer eher vorsichtig. Bei Fremden ist sie eher zurückhaltend und vertraut neuen Bekanntschaften nicht gleich auf Anhieb was auch dazu führen kann, dass sie austestet. Dabei gibt sie aber schnell nach und fühlt sich besser, wenn ihr bestätigt wurde, dass der Mensch auch wirklich ranghöher ist. Bei bekannten Menschen ist sie meistens sehr verschmust und sowohl im Umgang, als auch beim Reiten aufmerksam und kooperativ. Sie hat eleangte Bewegungen, ist sehr rittig und bringt viel Springvermögen mit, weshalb sie sich für alle klassischen Disziplinen eignet. Gerade im Gelände zeigt sie viel Respekt vor den Sprüngen, ist aber mitunter noch etwas schreckhaft. Vorallem während ihrer Trächtigkeit hat sich das recht stark gelegt, zumindest auf der Koppel ist sie nun viel ausgeglichener und wir hoffen, dass sie sich durch die Offenstallhaltung generell mehr an die Natur und ihre (vermeintlichen) Gefahren gewöhnt hat.
Ende April hat Summer ihr Fohlen bekommen und gleich gut angenommen, auch die Erziehung macht sie bis jetzt sehr gut.
