Fanras ist ein sensibler, eher verträumter Friesenwallach, der die Welt gern in seinem eigenen Tempo wahrnimmt. Druck liegt ihm überhaupt nicht – wird dieser zu stark, blockiert er schnell und zieht sich mental zurück. Auch Veränderungen in seiner Umgebung, selbst Kleinigkeiten wie ein neu platzierter Blumentopf, können ihn kurzzeitig aus dem Konzept bringen und ablenken.
Er braucht daher eine ruhige, klare und verlässliche Führung, die ihm Sicherheit gibt, ohne ihn zu überfordern. Gibt man ihm Zeit, Geduld und Vertrauen, entwickelt sich Fanras zu einem ausgesprochen feinen Partner, der bereit ist, über sich hinauszuwachsen. Besonders typisch für ihn ist seine entspannte Art im Umgang: Er döst gern vor sich hin, wirkt häufig tiefenentspannt und scheint – vor allem auf der Weide – manchmal völlig in seiner eigenen kleinen Welt zu sein.
