Wie bei ihren Eltern auch nicht anders zu erwarten, ist Leli ein durch und durch gelassenes Pferd, mit viel Gemütsruhe und nicht sehr ängstlich. Mit Artgenossen ist sie sehr unkompliziert, schnell schließt sie Freundschaft und verbringt viel Zeit mit dem gegenseitigen Kraulen oder Herumtoben mit Gleichaltrigen. Bei spielerischen Kämpfen ist sie ab und an mit dabei, wobei sie nicht gerade sehr grob oder energisch ist, dafür aber umso ausdauernder und manchmal ein wenig lästig werden kann. Im Umgang mit Menschen ist sie, ähnlich wie bei Pferden, freundlich, ein wenig anhänglich und zudem sehr verschmust, so dass sie von selbst kaum mehr von der Seite eines Zweibeiners weicht, solange die Chance besteht, gestreichelt zu werden. Auch das Training macht ihr großen Spaß, sie ist meist sofort dabei, wenn der Mensch etwas verlangt - sei es nun Kopfarbeit oder Bewegung, beides ist ihr ungefähr gleich lieb. Natürlich hat auch Leli Tage, an denen sie absolut keine Lust hat oder abgelenkt ist, das zeigt sich vorallem daran, dass sie einfach weniger Leistung bringt, sondern ihre Aufmerksamkeit anderem zuwendet und nicht so ganz hört. Zickig oder offensichtlich widerwillig wird sie dagegen nur sehr selten, dafür wenn, dann auch mal etwas deutlicher, aber andererseits auch wieder schnell zu beruhigen.
