Black Love ist eine recht aufmerksame und sehr sensible, sowie schreckhafte Stute. Allerdings erwies sie sich auch als sehr lernfähig und -willig, was die Arbeit mit ihr sehr einfach gestaltet. Die Stute zeigt einen schönen Vorwärtsdrang, an der Hand wie auch - nachdem sie gelernt hat, sich mit Gewicht am Rücken aufzubalancieren - unter dem Reiter. Allerdings lässt sie sich auch gut zurückhalten, überhaupt kann man sie gut mit feinen Hilfen beeinflussen. Bei fremden Personen geht sie meist brav mit, und nur an ihrer erhöhten Schreckhaftigkeit merkt man, dass sie sich nicht ganz wohl fühlt. Steigt man jedoch auf, testet die Stute, weshalb man bei ihr neben Entschlossenheit auch reiterliche Kentnisse mitbringen sollte, ansonsten geht Black Love meist dorthin, wo sie will, also entweder zu ihrer Bezugsperson oder zu anderen Pferden. Wir hoffen, dass sie unter dem Sattel genauso kooperativ wird wie an der Hand, wenn sie dort mehr Erfahrungen gesammelt hat, schließlich ist sie jetzt noch nicht lange geritten und sollte somit wirklich nicht von "Ahnungslosen" geritten werden.
