Maymoon ist eine ziemlich kesse und feurige Ponystute. Man sollte sich nicht von ihrer Größe täuschen lassen, denn das Deutsche Reitpony bringt genauso Leistung wie ihre größeren Artgenossen auch. Sie hat schöne ausgeprägte GGA's und insbesondere im Springsport kann sie glänzen.
"Eine gut bemuskelte Hinterhand und eine tolle Sprungtechnik machen es der Stute leicht sich über die Hindernisse hinweg zu setzen. Allerdings sollte man sie dabei gelegentlich zügeln, denn ansonsten kann es schon mal passieren, dass sie etwas zu viel Gas gibt und darüber hinaus den Sprung unterschätzt."
Maymoon ist im Umgang äußerst unkompliziert und verträgt sich mit so gut wie jedem Pferd und auch dem Reiter macht sie es leicht. Durch viel Ruhe und Gelassenheit und dazu einer tollen Ausstrahlung wickelt sie jeden um die Finger. Allerdings sollte man in der Rosse etwas aufpassen, denn da kann es schon mal sein, dass die Stute etwas zickig wird. Dazu kommt, dass man grade beim Futter etwas acht geben sollte, denn die Braune versucht ihr Glück immer wieder mal und sucht in allen Taschen nach Futter.
