Corrana wurde auf einem englischen Gestüt gezüchtet und kam mit zwei Jahren nach Deutschland zur Ponyzucht Smaho. Ihr Vater Corrado ist ein eher unbekannter Hengst in der Fellponyzucht, ebenso wie ihre Mutter Fairy Lady. Corrado wurde lange Zeit im Sport eingesetzt und kam erst spät in die Zucht, weswegen sich seine Anzahl an Nachkommen auch sehr in Grenzen hält. Ihre Mutter Fairy Lady wurde überwiegend als Freizeit- und Kinderpony genutzt und hat nur ein Fohlen - Corrana - bekommen.
Corrana selbst ist eine sehr sture Ponystute. Schon früh hat sie sich gegen alles gewährt, was ihr nicht passte und hat sich als Fohlen auch von ihrer Mutter nichts sagen lassen. Inzwischen ist es ein bisschen besser geworden und Corrana kooperiert wenigstens manchmal. Bei Kindern muss man jedoch immer etwas aufpassen. Nicht, wiel Corrana bösartig ist, sondern weil sie bei unerfahrenen Menschen schnell merkt, dass sie ihren Dickkopf gut durchsetzen kann und dies gnadenlos ausnutzt. Trotzdem ist sie ein ganz tolles Pony, das besonders im Umgang super für Kinder ist, da sie so ziemlich alles mit sich machen lässt. Vor der Kutsche ist die kleine Rappstute zudem ein richtiges Arbeitstier. Sie übernimmt gerne die Führung und weist die anderen Pferde in ihre Schranken, wenn sie anfangen Unsinn zu machen. Ideal geeignet ist sie deshalb auch für das Anfahren von jungen Pferden.
