Der Betriebswirtschaftler hat sein Leben mit Pferden verbracht, jedoch nie wirklich seinen Bezug zum Reitsport gefunden. Er ist auf Kleemann vor allem in der Verwaltung zu finden, seine einzige sportliche Ambition ist der Kutschsport, den er mit den 4 Friesen des Gestüts betreibt.


Auch wenn die Theorie vorsah, dass Lars und sein Bruder Michael den Hof zu gleichen Teilen führen, war es für Lars nie ein Problem als sich die Arbeit schließlich doch so verschob, dass Michael den Großteil der organisatorischen Arbeit übernahm. Lars ist schlichtweg kein Geschäftsmann und vollauf damit zufrieden das Training seiner Pferde und gegebenenfalls die Arbeit einiger Kollegen zu planen und auszuführen.

Im Turniersport zeigt er keinerlei Ambitionen im Sattel, ist jedoch ein begeisterter und erfahrener Fahrer der auf Kleemann vom Einfahren bis zum Turniersport in den höchsten Klassen alles selbst in die Hand nimmt.
