Jacky ist in ihrem Auftreten eine kleine Diva. Solange ihr alles passt, ist sie ein kleiner Engel, der alles mitmacht und vorbildlich ruhig stehen kann. Geht allerdings etwas gegen ihren Strich, kann sie zu einem kleinen Teufelsbraten werden. So ist sie mit einer gesunden Portion Selbstbewusstsein gesegnet und scheint deshalb automatisch davon auszugehen, dass alles immer nach ihrem Kopf laufen muss. Wenn irgendjemand anderer Meinung ist, versucht sie sofort, sich selbst durchzusetzen und stellt damit auch immer wieder die Position des Menschen in Frage. Die Stute ist auf jeden Fall niemand, der eine Führungskraft einfach akzeptiert, sie stellt die Ranghöheren immer auf die Probe und wartet auf ihre Chance. Deshalb sollte sie auch stets möglichst schnell zurechtgewiesen werden, bevor sie glaubt, dass sie damit durchkommt. Einschüchtern lässt Jacky sich kaum. Trotz ihrer geringen Größe, weicht sie weder vor erwachsenen Pferden, noch Menschen oder gar Traktoren zurück. Auch von lauten Geräuschen oder plötzlich auffliegenden Vögeln lässt die Stute sich nicht irritieren und zeigt vorbildliche Nervenstärke. Im Gelände sollte man dennoch vorsichtig mit ihr sein, da sie alles andere als trittsicher ist und bei ihrer Nachlässigkeit leicht über Wurzeln stolpern oder in Löcher treten könnte. Obwohl sie auch alleine gut klarkommt, was sie immer wieder beweist, braucht sie aber den Kontakt zu anderen Pferden wie die Luft zum atmen und wird, wenn ihr der verwehrt wird, besonders bockig. Beim Training zeigt sie sich engagiert, gerade zu Beginn jedoch sehr übersensibel und missdeutet kleinste Bewegungen bereits als Signale. Erst nach einer längeren Aufwärmphase, die sich bei ihr tatsächlich ziehen kann wie Gummi, gewöhnt sie sich an die Anforderungen. Deshalb sollte man auf keinen Fall frühzeitig frustriert aufgeben, sondern hartnäckig bleiben und sie loben, sobald sie Ansätze zeigt, es richtig zu machen. Möglicherweise wird sich diese Übersensibilität auch noch legen, wenn sie erst ein wenig älter ist.
