Schnell hat Eraser den Trick rausgehabt, wie man sich Lob erhaschen kann. Das kluge Kerlchen tut alles dafür um Leckereien und Lob zu ergattern und zeigt sich daher auch Neugierig und Aufmerksam. Das kann man gut fürs Training ausnutzen, allerdings sollte man immer darauf achten, sich nicht von ihm austricksen zu lassen. Belohnt man ihn zu früh, wird er schlusig und macht die Übungen nur noch halb so gut wie er könnte - bringt ja schließlich schon die erwartete Belohnung, warum also noch mehr tun? Alles Neue ist für ihn interessant und er sieht in keinen Dingen eine wirkliche Gefahr. Als kleiner sportlicher Allrounder kann er sowohl in der Dressur als auch im Springen eingesetzt werden. Da er aber so schrecklos ist und eben immer bemüht ist alles Geforderte auch zu machen, ist die Vielseitigkeit einfach für ihn perfekt. Sie bietet Abwechslung und ein Wald und Wiesen Ritt mit Sprüngen, Wassergräben und langen Galoppstrecken sind einfach genau sein Ding.

In der Tat ist Eraser gegenüber Menschen weitestgehend ruhig, doch auch da kann er schnell mal frech werden und einem auf der Nase herum tanzen. Sei es stehen bleiben am Strick und keinen Schritt mehr zu machen oder eben gar nicht erst stehen zu bleiben und den Menschen gleich mit zu der Futterbox zu zerren. Man muss sich auf jeden Fall immer wieder von Neuem durchsetzen, damit der Hengst in seinen Schranken bleibt und einen nicht heraus fordert. Zusammen mit Hengsten und Wallachen ist Eraser unkompliziert, mit Stuten in der Nähe ist er oft abgelenkt aber zu händeln. Er wird dann einfach nur unruhig und unkonzentriert und der Fokus liegt nicht mehr bei seinem Reiter. Die Übungen werden also nur noch halbherzig. Bei Turnieren kann das zu Problemen führen, jedoch sind die meisten Prüfungen ja glücklicherweise doch einzelnd vorgestellt.
